Certificates & Contact Hours: How and When You’ll Receive Yours

INCA awards certificates and ANCC-accredited contact hours after all required course components have been successfully completed. This process is automated through Canvas and is tied directly to completion of your course evaluation.

When Does the Certificate Become Available?

Once you have completed all required course components, the Evaluation module—the final module in Canvas—will automatically unlock.

The evaluation must be completed in order for your certificate and contact hours to be issued.


How Certificates Are Issued

After you submit the evaluation:

  • Your certificate is generated automatically

  • This typically happens within a few minutes

  • Your certificate is sent directly to you by email

No additional action is required once the evaluation is submitted.


Important Timeline

You have 30 days from the time you finish the program to complete the evaluation.

If the evaluation is not completed within this timeframe, certificate issuance may be delayed or require additional support.

If you believe you have already completed the evaluation but cannot locate your certificate, you can retrieve it using INCA’s verification system:

  • Enter the email address you likely used during enrollment

  • Try multiple email addresses if needed (personal, work, or school)


Still Can’t Find Your Certificate?

If you are confident that:

  • You completed all course requirements, and

  • You submitted the evaluation within the 30-day window, and

  • Your certificate does not appear at the verification link
